...LAGWAGON...Well, Lagwagon was last night, and it was...gosh, I just can't even describe how fucking awesome they were. The two support acts were
~ Stand Defiant, and
~ Ballpoint
They got me right in the mood for some fantastic Californian punk rock! I was a bit disappointed with the turnout - a massive band like Lagwagon, and I think only about 200 people showed up, if that. It was an all ages show as well, so there were many, many younger guys there, which I don't begrudge, but it would have been nice to see an older generation there showing their appreciation. However, the energy emited by these kids was astounding - the mosh was just crazy (not as crazy as the Wolfmother mosh at Falls, but pretty close). There was the proper mosh at the barrier, which I was a part of for the two support bands and half of Lagwagon til I got shoved out
, and then behind us there were guys just going nuts, throwing themselves at each other, on top of each other, under each other, appendages going everywhere! I eventually got out to this part, and it was mad fun! And Lagwagon in general - ohmygosh, they are SO FANTASTIC live! They sung all the favourites - May 16th, Falling Apart, and one of my favourite songs off Resolve - Sad Astronaut. The whole night was a big tribute to Derrick - such a talented musician, who will be greatly missed 
. So, in conclusion, an awesome night - and I have the bruises to prove it
. If the chance ever comes up to see these guys live, then I beg of you to go. I nearly didn't, and would have regretted it forever if I'd missed it. Words just cannot describe the amount of fun I had, and how bloody pumping these guys are live
.
